in 2012, I hope to..

Blog more- I'm not a dedicated blogger and I am okay with that, but even when I want to write a blog and have ideas, I generally don't. I'm not sure why!

Feel better about being ME - To me this means becoming healthy, I am no longer concerned with losing weight (which is typically my goal every year), but I do want to FEEL healthy and I want to have a healthy lifestyle, which I don't right now. Changing my eating and exercising habits will have to happen for this.

Stick to my at least one of the hobbies I pick up this year!- I try to start doing several different things throughout the year and they just get shoved in a corner or bag and never touched again.

MOVE!- I am not sure to where yet. Ben and I have decided this is our year to get away from Georgia for good. Neither of us are happy here.

Get a good job and go back to school!

You should give thanks and be grateful everyday. 

But I am glad there is specific day to focus on it because people are oftentimes too busy with their lives to take a moment out each day.

I just wanted to post a link to my flickr account from many years ago, if anyone is interested in checking out some of my photography. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lillylimabean/ It is not spectacular and was done with a very basic point-and-shoot.. but I am still totally in love with it. Especially the birdhouse picture. I am anticipating the moment I get a new camera (probably a bridge camera, I'm not ready for a DSLR yet) so so much. If you have a bridge camera- what kind is it, how well does it work? I welcome recommendations from anyone!

Sometimes I feel like there are so many things I want to do in my life, but I will never possibly have the time to do them all. Or the means. Then I just sit around being lazy and feeling bad! If you can't tell, I am not much of a blogger. I like to come jot down random thoughts at very spaced out intervals. And talk about the loves of my life, Benji and Zoey. Maybe that's what being a blogger is?

C. Chore that you hate: I really do not like unloading the dishwasher. I will do everything else, but I despise unloading the dishwasher.
D. Dogs: I have one sweet baby- Zoey! She is a daschund/Jack Russell mix. I'm hoping to get another dog in the very near future.

F. Favorite color: Green- all different shades except the darker ones!
G. Gold or Silver: Silver, I'm not a fan of gold at all.

an "inherited issue"

Ever since I can remember I've had "sand in my shoes" as my parents would say. I'm always wanting to move, always wanting to explore some different kind of lifestyle in a different place. It isn't really an issue for me, it just seems to bother everyone around me. I think it's because I talk incessantly about it. I learned it from my dad, though! I moved a lot when I was a kid and I guess it just stuck with me. I was born in Virginia, then I moved to Tennessee, then Georgia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida.. and now I am back in Georgia! I can't say that I am crazy about Georgia although it may seem that way. My next preferred destination is a tie between northern Virginia, where my dad now lives, or the North Carolina coast. It is the mountains vs. the beach, those are my favorite places in the world. There is so much to do in both of those places and I am a person who doesn't like to stay at home. Right now I live in a part of Georgia where there isn't much to do and I don't know anyone anyway. I'm always ready for my next adventure in life, though. Before I die I'd like just travel all over the world never living in a particular place. That'd be best for me because I don't think I will ever be satisfied.

My lovely (taboo) fiance

My fiance is a lot older than I am. He's 37 and I'm 22. A lot of people have a problem with this and I will admit, maybe I did at first, too. It took my family a while to accept it and it took me a while not to be embarrassed by the age difference. Now, I don't even notice it and I choose to not care if anyone has a problem with it. He is a big kid and I'm serious most of the time. It does balance itself out. He has taught me to have more fun in life and not be such a "stick in the mud". I'm still having trouble with that! I constantly worry about everything under the sun and stress about the silliest things. He makes me laugh and smile when I don't want to. He is the perfect man for me. We have a crazy amount in common to be so far apart in age, which I know also brings us very close. We both love the same music, have the same views on life, love animals like mad, and love movies! That is only the start of it. We've been together for a year and a half. We got engaged quickly (we started dating on February 26, 2010 and got engaged October 14, 2010), but I have decided we'll have a long engagement. I am hoping to start a family with him someday in the near future. I love him so much.

Zoey Rae

So, I am a first time dog owner. She is a Jack Russell Terrier/Daschund mix. I just wanted to share her picture and profess how much I adore her. She is the sunshine of my life and finds ways to make my day every single day! She is the most loving dog I've ever met. She just wants to be everybody's friend. I never thought I would be one to say a pet was my child, but she definitely is. I love her so much.

Tuesday Mornings!

I'm not so good at this blogging stuff! I don't know what to blog about or anything like that, as I am sure you noticed in my other entry, but here I go again...

I went for a job interview on Saturday. I thought the interview went pretty well, but it's not seeming like it is going to work out. I think that is okay. I'm going to try and get a job at a wonderful place called Tuesday Mornings! I am obsessed with that store and just think it would be amazing to have the opportunity to work there. I do not have a degree in anything and I have no training in anything, so my choice for career at the moment is retail. I really do love it, which may sound crazy. Also, how awesome would it be to get an employee discount at Tuesday Mornings?! I am keeping my fingers crossed for myself that everything will work with that.

I want to ask a question to anyone that may be reading: If you are an avid blogger, how did you get your start? How did you decide you wanted to start blogging?

My name is Lilly, I live in Georgia but desire to be a "vantramp". I hope someday that will happen for me. I adore animals, music, and photography. The Beatles, Grateful Dead... 60's, 70's, and country, those are all my favorites. I am engaged to a wondeful man named Ben. :)
